Pouring Series“After a trip to New York where I saw the paintings of Paul Jenkins and Moris Louis, I decided to try and do some similar work -- pourings I call them. Now they are called process paintings.” First I poured paint on stretched canvases letting the paint run and mix as well. Then I tried pouring paint on unstretched canvas hung on a grid made with poles leaning against a wall at about 45 degrees. Later I developed several different grids to produce the praise series, the imaginary flower series, and the rainbow series. The Meadows Museum of Shreveport, Louisiana recently added a Rainbow painting to their permanent collection.
